As a member of The Mother Church, I wish to express...

As a member of The Mother Church, I wish to express gratitude. It was in 1923 that this wonderful truth, Christian Science, came to me. I was left alone, sick and penniless, and, as it seemed to me, without a friend in the world. So I turned whole-heartedly to God and accepted Christian Science. For almost two years I was forced to make my own living. Since I had never learned a trade and was well on in years, this was most difficult. But God, divine Love, never forsook me, and all my human needs were met. I relied on God, and nothing else. With all my work I rarely failed to read the Lesson-Sermon daily, frequently attended two church services on Sunday, and hardly ever missed a lecture in our city. Then, after two years, I was led to a family which was mortherless. After some time I married the father of these four motherless children and was more than happy in the midst of a family and home.

I have been cured of chronic indigestion, chronic constipation, headaches, and eczema, and I had a healing of influenza which was almost instantaneous. My husband was healed of tuberculosis in its last stages, and he and all the children were healed of smallpox. Another healing in our family was that of a broken finger without surgery. Numerous other diseases have also yielded to treatment.

I wish to express thanks to God, the Giver of all good, and to Mary Baker Eddy, our dear Leader, who so loved her fellow men that she was divinely inspired to give this wonderful truth to the world.
