"Sing in faith"

In a beautiful letter to a branch church our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, writes (The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany, p. 203), "Pray aright and demonstrate your prayer; sing in faith." A writer of the past century gives us this example of the faith that sings:

"Let us be like a bird for a moment perched
On a frail branch while he sings,
Though he feels the bough bend, yet he sings his song,
Knowing that he hath wings—he hath wings."
