To withhold my thanks for what Christian Science means...
To withhold my thanks for what Christian Science means to me and has done for me would be the height of ingratitude. I have known Christian Science for about twenty-three years, but I did not apply it to all my problems, as I do now, until after having class instruction. But even before that experience, through this wonderful truth I was healed of chronic tonsillitis, chronic headaches, and neuritis, and my children were healed of diphtheria and grippe; also many other errors were overcome.
Christian Science helped me when I had a serious automobile accident. It helped me to overcome fear of a severe storm at sea, and healed me of grief when a dear one passed on. I have seen others healed of goiter, convulsions, hemorrhages, and many other ailments too numerous to mention.
I am grateful to be a member of The Mother Church, grateful to God for our brave Leader; for the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly, for all the periodicals; and I am also happy to be useful in the different activities of an informal group of Christian Scientists.
(Mrs.) Elvina Z. Gumto, Vevey, Switzerland.
