Happiness

There is a peace which passeth understanding;
There is a joy no man can take away;
It is in knowing God, the one creator,
And man, His image, as the Scriptures say.

No matter what the carnal mind is claiming;
No matter how it flaunts its colors bold
And seems to rob man of his aspirations,
Our Father guards each pure thought which we hold.

He will make plain the good for all His children;
He will reveal to them His perfect plan;
Be patient, work, and trust in Love's unfoldment—
The happiness of unselfed perfect man.

There is more joy in giving than in getting;
There is a peace mere theory does not give;
For it is found in practice, not profession—
'Tis not just how we talk, but how we live.
