Dear Friends:

In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 35) Mary Baker Eddy states, "Our church is built on the divine Principle, Love." This is truly the "spiritual foundation of Christ-healing" (ibid., p. 136) so definitely taught by our great Master and so clearly interpreted by our divinely directed Leader, who gave us also our Church Manual, under the guidance of which you are so faithfully and ably directing all the activities of our church.

The conference in which we are now assembled has afforded opportunity for us to see further evidences of the wisdom, patience, humility, and love with which you are fulfilling your duties, and we esteem it a privilege to give you this assurance of our loving gratitude.

May we also be obedient in carrying out the duties intrusted to us.
