Love

Companioned ever on life's way
By Love divine,
My path illumed by Truth's clear ray,
What joy is mine!

The clouds of error fade away
Before Truth's blaze,
And gratefully I voice each day
My Father's praise.

Though hatred send its poisoned dart
And fain would kill,
With naught but love within my heart
I'm safe from ill.

'Tis Love divine that doth destroy
All woes of sense;
Love is my highest, holiest joy,
My sure defense.
