Christian Scientists believe that the master Christian made a true and potent statement when he said, "He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also."

A grateful host give testimony daily that faith in the above statement, together with some degree of understanding of the truth about God and man, as taught in Christian Science, has healed them, not only of physical diseases, both functional and organic, but of all sorts of discordant conditions common to mortals, appearing in the guise of hatred, envy, jealousy, bigotry, lack, limitation, evil, and enslaving habits.

John the Baptist was in doubt regarding the Messiahship of Jesus and sent two of his disciples to ask him, "Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?" Jesus' answer was, "Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached."
