Through your courtesy I wish to correct some of the misrepresentations made in a recently published sermon.

Atheism is disbelief in, or denial of, the existence of God, the supreme intelligent Being; and yet our minister critic asserts that Christian Science is atheism and that it "jumps to the conclusion that all is good, all is God." Christian Science holds to the First Commandment. Its adherents attest their faith by turning to God, not as a last resort, but as "a very present help in trouble." Can this be atheism?

It is equally surprising to have the minister say that Christian Science "is not the way of Jesus;" for this religion teaches its followers to emulate Jesus, their Way-shower, in all his ways. They are meeting with success the tests our Master required when he said: "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; . . . and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover."
