For more than twenty years I have depended upon the teachings of Mary Baker Eddy. Previous to this I had been an invalid and had expended many thousands of dollars on sanitariums, physicians, and material remedies. I was finally reduced to the necessity of giving up my business, and had reached the conviction that there was no cure for me, when Christian Science was brought to my notice. A copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy was borrowed, and I read very studiously for two days. I was told that I should soon have an appetite and to eat anything that I wished, as it would not hurt me. After having an unusually good night I got up, dressed, and ate a hearty breakfast, and I have scarcely missed a meal since then.

I am nearing my seventy-ninth year and am enjoying all of my mental faculties, and really doing more and better work than I did twenty-five years ago. I was also healed of the tobacco habit, although I had many times endeavored unsuccessfully to discard tobacco. The desire left me even before I really cared to stop its use.

I have received many demonstrations of the efficacy of the healing power of divine Mind as taught by Mrs. Eddy; and I particularly enjoy reading the Bible, as I had previously not been familiar with its teaching.
