Christian Science teaches its followers that the kingdom of heaven, harmony, is possible of attainment today through spiritual understanding of the law of God. As spiritual understanding increases, the body naturally and necessarily responds to the changed thinking, the result being a cessation of diseased conditions and a more healthy body. This physical healing, which is the result of the study of Christian Science, is one detail of our religion that has attracted the attention of the older schools of treatment of disease, and has possibly priduced some misunderstanding and opposition. However, your invitation to me indicates a fine sense of brotherly love, which is appreciated.

Christian Scientists are not opposed to persons who employ other methods of treatment. Christian Science follows Christ Jesus as the Way-shower, and its adherents earnestly desire to live peaceably with all men.

The world is working and praying for peace, but it must be remembered that world peace will be attained only as peace comes to the consciousness of the individual. We have the opportunity of assisting in this world movement, and we can start today, this very moment, by being peaceable, loving, kind, and charitable toward our friend, our neighbor, and even our so-called enemy.
