In a recent address which was delivered in your city on the subject "Affirmation," a speaker coupled Christian Science with human philosophies in such a manner as to leave a confused impression of what Christian Science really does teach. May I have space in your paper for a brief corrective statement?

The rise and decline of many systems based on mental suggestion prove that they were not well founded. Christian Science is steadily proving that it is based on Truth.

Christian Science makes a direct appeal to divine Mind, and thus brings to bear on human experience the realization that since man is made in God's image and likeness, as the Bible declares, man has dominion through his divine sonship over the ills of the flesh. By asserting man's birthright mankind is freed from all forms of inharmony, including sin, sickness, limitation, discouragement, and fear.
