Having received so much encouragement from reading the testimonies of healing in the Christian Science Sentinel I, too, feel I should like to share with all mankind a very beautiful healing of broken bones. Early one morning as I entered a neighbors' house in their absence, with both my arms filled with things, their large dog rushed over to greet me and in great exuberance dashed against me, causing me to lose my balance on a highly polished floor. My momentum was so great that I struck the floor with my ankle bent under me and a sound like the breaking of china could be heard. I felt as if I were passing on, for my side felt as if a rib had punctured a so-called vital organ.

My first thought was, God is my Life. I continued to struggle as best I could, for the dog's antics had not subsided. I found I could not raise myself or move without great pain. Noticing the telephone upon a low table within reach of my free right hand, I called a practitioner. She arrived in a very short time and stayed with me till I felt greatly relieved and could be carried home. The healing was marvelous. Within forty-eight hours I was free from all pain, the injury to my ribs had healed, I could breathe without any discomfort, and internal organs resumed their normal activities. My lower limb, including the ankle, had no feeling in it for several weeks; in fact, the condition appeared very serious. Apparently the small ankle bones were splintered and ligaments were torn loose. The portion where the ankle bones should be appeared to be a soft pulp; no bone could be felt. To the world around me this healing may have seemed slow, as I was unable to walk for two months; but it was a case of renewal of the structure of bone and sinews; and after this renewal I walked without aid from crutches, and drove our car through light traffic even before I could walk successfully. During this period I had intermittent treatments.

In less than three months after my healing I had the blessed privilege of ushering at a Christian Science lecture, where many marveled to see me standing most of the evening. I should also like to mention that several neighbors and friends who witnessed this healing are now attending Christian Science services regularly.
