Lecturer: Dr. John M. Tutt; introduced by Mrs. Jessie Reekie, who said:—

At present, when both statesman and financier are vainly seeking a material basis for the establishment of stability and security, and when we see around us turmoil and upheaval, seeming lack, pessimism, and depression, which have followed a too great reliance on material things, how reassuring to turn away from this distressing evidence and in the first statement written in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, find this message of hope and promise (Pref., p. vii), "To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings"! This single sentence epitomizes the nature of Christian Science, which teaches us to rely solely on infinite Spirit, God, good, for our needs, our happiness, and our health.
