With great gratitude I testify to the wonderful blessings which have come to us through Christian Science.

I had always been a seeker, though I could find no satisfaction in religion and groped about as a blind person. As a consequence, anxiety and care regarding my children were my constant companions. This has all been changed since Christian Science came into my life. I have learned to know true joy and freedom, and I strive to keep my gaze upward—on God, good, and on His perfect image and likeness.

Three years ago our little son became very ill, first with an ordinary sore throat, then with influenza of the stomach, to which was added afterwards a bad case of inflammation of the lungs, as well as pleurisy complicated complicated by suppuration. At the same time our little daughter was suffering from tonsilitis, and I from ulceration of the maxillary gland. My mother, who came hurriedly to our aid, told us of Christian Science and its wonderful success in healing all manner of disease, and said that she had confidence only in this method. Through this Science one of our relatives had been healed of the effects of a severe accident. My husband and I immediately felt confidence in it, and mother wrote at once to a practitioner for absent treatment. The effect on our daughter and on me was very quick, and we were healed rapidly.

Our son, however, was being treated by a specialist, who gave him daily injections, and who also wished to make an incision at once, which was to be followed by an operation. Before the physician could make the incision a letter came from the practitioner telling us to put our whole trust in God and in Christian Science. The very next day we dismissed the specialist, telling him about Christian Science so far as we were able. At that time our dear boy was at the worst stage. However, we used no further material remedies, but plunged with our whole heart into the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and put everything in God's care. On the fifteenth of June we were able to undertake the long journey to my home, and four weeks later the boy was perfectly healed. I have also been healed of an injury to the kneecap. Christian Science has freed us from many errors.

For these wonderful healings in our extreme need we are heartily thankful to God. We are filled with gratitude also to Mrs. Eddy, who has shown us the way, and to the practitioner who so lovingly helped us and had so much patience with us.—(Mrs.) Ilse Lange, Budapest, Hungary.
