An article criticizing Christian Science appeared in a recent issue of your paper, and space is respectfully requested for a reply, that those of your interested readers may be correctly informed.
Christian Science gives the spiritual interpretation of the Bible. The Lesson-Sermons, an excerpt from one of which our critic dislikes, include readings from all the books of the King James Version of the Bible.
Christian Science does not imply "that the Bible is false" but relies unreservedly upon its teaching and promises for the healing of sickness as well as the healing of sin. Thereby it gives God the praise, at the same time relying on none but the one God, as the Bible teaches.
Proof of the above statements may be had by reading any of the authorized Christian Science literature, which may be procured at any Christian Science Reading Room.
