Christian Science first came to my notice through the healing of a dear friend of consumption in its last stages when the attending physicians had given her only a few hours to live.

As I had been suffering with severe sick headaches for over thirty years, also with acute stomach trouble and inaction of the bowels, I decided to investigate this Science. I procured a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and later found that all these troubles had disappeared. The healing of sick headaches was brought about through the work of a Christian Science practitioner, and was almost instantaneous. That was over thirty years ago, and they have never returned.

Many beautiful proofs of the presence and power of our Father have come to me. One was the healing of a little child, nearly two years of age. In an accident one of the child's fingers was severed above the first joint. A physician was called to dress it. After the first dressing the child made no sign of fear or pain; and in less than two weeks the finger grew out to its normal length, with a perfect finger nail. Another was a case of epilepsy of many years' standing. After the first treatment the manifestation was very evident and during the second treatment it began again, but faded away. Since then there has been no return of the trouble.
