About seven years ago I was afflicted with a very severe stomach trouble which defied all forms of treatment by physicians, and was unable to obtain any relief. With this I also had arthritis, so that I was scarcely able to use for weeks at a time my arms and hands.
I finally decided to go to a hospital for observation and treatment. After I had been there for some time and had not got better in any way, a friend called to see me and, noticing how discouraged I had become, suggested that I try Christian Science. She was not a student of this Science herself, but knew of several who had been healed. As soon as I could leave the hospital, I went to a Christian Science practitioner and told her my troubles, after which she kindly gave me a treatment. I asked her what I could have for a diet, and she said I could eat anything I liked, in moderation; that the stomach did not know what I put into it. I was amazed, as I had been living on a liquid diet for so long, but decided to do as I had been told. For lunch I ate what my family did, and did not feel the least discomfort; and I never have to this day. I had been instantaneously healed of the stomach trouble. The arthritis was a little longer in yielding, but that disappeared after a week's treatment, and I have never had it to meet again.
Since then I have had so many healings that I could not take the space to tell of them all. I have also had the pleasure of a stay at The Christian Science Benevolent Association Sanatorium at Chestnut Hill. I am profoundly grateful to all who have made these blessings possible.
