That Christian Science heals, regenerates, and reforms mankind quickly and efficaciously I can testify from personal experience.

When I was a youth I thoughtlessly criticized Christian Scientists and their church and was unkind to them. Yet a few years later this practical truth and compassionate religion was to bestow its blessings on my mother and me. My mother, who suffered severely for several years, was the first member of our family to try the healing power of Christian Science. I was greatly impressed because she improved so quickly after the practitioner started treatment; whereas physicians had failed to give her any relief or hope, although they had tried earnestly and sympathetically. In about two weeks my mother was well.

This remarkable case caused me to start the study of Christian Science. It was not until quite a number of years later that I recognized that the practitioner's consecrated work had instantaneously healed me of my ill will toward Christian Science and its adherents. This was a profitable lesson, because it taught me not to form an opinion without first understanding something about a subject.
