The Lectures

Introductions to Lectures

Cristobal, Canal Zone (Society).

Lecturer: Paul Stark Seeley; introduced by Mrs. May Baer, who said:—

It is with a heart full of gratitude to God and to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, that I can testify to its healing power. Before I took up the study and application of Christian Science I had suffered for years with a severe case of stomach trouble. I tried all material means, and was treated by many noted stomach specialists—all to no avail. The last physician who treated me told my husband there was no use taking his money any longer as nothing more could be done for me. It was then that Christian Science was presented to me. As a last resort I accepted it, and with the help of a loving practitioner was healed in a very short time. I am only one in thousands who have demonstrated that Christian Science brings courage to the discouraged, joy to the joyless, and love to the disconsolate.
