Daily Reminder

The item that appeared a few days ago in your column which is headed "The Sawdust Trail," with reference to "Divine Healing," does not mention Christian Science; but in order that your readers may not retain a wrong impression from what you said, I am asking the privilege of your columns for the following.

Christian Science healing is divine healing in more than name. Its adherents would not think themselves consistent in asking healing of the God "who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases" and then going "to the office of a good physician for the answer." Their prayer is made to their ever present, always loving, omnipotent Father, who surely does not require help in order to heal.

Christian Science is founded on the teaching of Jesus, who did not use drugs nor recommend them. It is the utilization of "the prayer of faith" which we are told in the Bible "shall save the sick;" and that it is successfully relieving the distress of mankind is evidenced by its continual growth. Jesus said, "Ye shall know them by their fruits." Had Christian Science failed in its healing mission it would long since have ceased to exist. The one who has been healed through Christian Science after having been given up by other systems, knows best what is being accomplished through its means. And to-day multitudes of grateful men and women all over the world are bearing testimony to its healing efficacy.
