Christian Science, which came into my life healing me and changing my thinking, has caused me to be deeply grateful, as it has thousands of others.

Some years ago I was under a sense of depression and poor health, with little hope for anything more than temporary relief from medical treatment. However, after long and stubborn resistance, the veil was quickly lifted as soon as I was willing to consult a Christian Science practitioner. Headaches, caused by eye trouble so severe that I could not read, and a great fear of blindness were completely healed in two treatments.

Much other wrong thinking was dissipated, and dread of dependence on others changed, to my relief, for I had glimpsed "the wide horizon's grander view." A short time after eagerly reading the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, I realized that a growth for which I had expected to undergo a third operation had entirely disappeared. Then I began to perceive that my God and best Friend was always at hand. In over sixteen years my faith in Christian Science has never wavered. One winter a healing of pneumonia came in two days, and I was able to go out rejoicing on the third day, in cold weather. Some people in the same house who witnessed this healing were deeply impressed; and I was grateful for the experience and demonstration, and particularly so for the faithful work of the practitioner and nurse. For more than sixteen years I have rarely been confined to my bed. Although severe tests have come and been met, these have strengthened my faith in God's government.
