It is my earnest desire to express some of the deep love...

It is my earnest desire to express some of the deep love and gratitude I feel to God for having opened the way for me to study Christian Science. Ever since I can first remember I have been seeking to know God, and to know what this existence is all about. I have asked numerous questions of ministers and priests, often going some distance to talk with them, but have never been entirely satisfied with their answers. Now, Christian Science satisfactorily answers any questions I can think of, through my careful study of Mrs. Eddy's textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," and her other writings together with the Bible. "If from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul."

While not coming into Christian Science for physical healing, I have relied upon if for healings, both physical and financial, since beginning with the study seven years ago. With the aid of a practitioner our son was healed of tonsillitis, to which he was subject every winter. He was also healed of pneumonia and itch, and protected from whooping cough, to which he was exposed daily for two weeks. I have been healed of so-called incurable hereditary bladder trouble, which was very painful. After a thorough examination and several X-ray pictures, a prominent physician and surgeon said I could never be healed. "Through radical reliance on Truth" (Science and Health, p. 167) I have been entirely healed. I have also been healed of numerous other complaints. Many times it has been proved to me that God does supply our every need.

I am humbly and profoundly grateful to Jesus for his great love and tender compassion, and deeply grateful to Mary Baker Eddy for living a life so pure that her spiritual sense discerned this great truth, which she so untiringly and joyfully gave to the world. I am grateful to the students of Christian Science at the place where I began to study. They were so patient and loving with my "Whys," which were many. I remember I would watch them for some sign of impatience with me, but never once was mortal mind rewarded. I feel it a privilege to be a member of The Mother Church, whose activities embrace the entire world. I am also grateful for membership in a Christian Science Society, and recently it was a joy and privilege to have class instruction.
