I feel I must praise God and thank Him for His goodness in leading me to Christian Science, through which I have been delivered from serious illness. For four years I was seriously afflicted with a nervous trouble, in addition to being in danger of losing my position. Twice during that time I was obliged to go to a hospital to be examined by famous specialists; yet I found no healing.

"Man's extremity is God's opportunity." In 1928, on my way to town in a hopeless condition, I happened to talk with a gentleman, telling him about my trouble. He drew my attention to Christian Science and gave me the address of a practitioner in Chemnitz. I called on this practitioner, and during my visit with him my relation to God was explained to me by means of the Bible and the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I was also given treatment. The Reading Room of the local Christian Science Society lent me a copy of the textbook for a few weeks. I bought a Christian Science Quarterly, and on the following morning began the daily study of the Lesson-Sermon. It was not long before the pain began to vanish; and in nine weeks it had entirely disappeared, so that I was once more able to go freely about my business.—Konrad Platzer, Penig, Saxony, Germany.
