The Reading Room

ROSE MARIE RICE

An upper room for me prepare,
Our mighty Master gently said,
I'll eat with my disciples there.
Oh, holy place! Oh, heavenly bread!

And is not this just such a room
With feast of manna freely spread?
The hungry find awaiting them
Sweet food and rest in this hushed place
Where some have touched his garment's hem,
And some have seen Truth—face to face!
