[Original testimony in French]
I wish to express my gratitude to God for having sent...
I wish to express my gratitude to God for having sent us Christian Science. I always find in this Science a relief from all my difficulties.
Since I have been interested in Christian Science I have gradually been freed from a great many errors which I believed inherent, and especially from sickness. A year and a half ago I was the victim of a certain epidemic. I had a high fever, but in spite of that I tried to think rightly and to meet the error by uplifting thought spiritually as we are taught to do in Christian Science. My husband also helped me by holding to the right thought. After two days I felt about the same. Then I became curious, and although my husband had advised me against using a thermometer, which we had kept since the time we believed in material means, I saw that the thermometer registered a rather high fever. That alarmed me a great deal and turned my thought from its right course, so much so that the next morning I again used the thermometer and still found the same condition. Then a shadow of doubt entered in spite of myself, and I asked my good friend, the practitioner, to come and help me, which she very kindly did. After she had left, I felt that my condition was improving a great deal; but two days later it was necessary to ask her to come again, and her loving work helped to heal me completely, with the exception of a slight weakness which I felt for two or three days, without my having to suffer any of the after effects which this sickness was leaving on almost everyone.
I am very grateful to Mrs. Eddy for her wonderful discovery, which places us on the right road which our Lord Christ Jesus showed us. I am also very thankful to the dear Scientists who first introduced my husband and me to Christian Science.—(Mrs.) Hariclée Stéphanopoulo-Aléxandridi, Athens, Greece.
