It is indeed a joyful privilege to contribute a testimony of healing by Christian Science treatment through the columns of our periodicals, an avenue provided by the wise foresight of our great Leader, Mrs. Eddy.

Upon hearing of the healing through Christian Science treatment of what doctors term an incurable disease, I was led to attend a Christian Science church in Chicago, at which time the light of Truth dawned in my consciousness, bringing me spiritual regeneration and healing me mentally, morally, and physically. I was suffering from impaired eyesight and was unable to read a book or newspaper. The Christian Science Sentinel, however, I could read; and although with some pain, I continued to read this periodical daily, and also the chapter on Prayer in the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, that chapter being about all I could then understand of the textbook. In a very short time I could read books and newspapers with freedom. Also, I experienced at this time a healing of chronic sore throat, which had been an annoyance since childhood.

I have had many other healings through continued study and application of the teachings of Christian Science. For these, for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church, and for class instruction, the last being of especial benefit, I am profoundly grateful. My heart overflows with love and gratitude for our dear Leader, through whose consecration and love for humanity this marvelous gift was brought forth to save and to bless all mankind.
