I should like to express gratitude for the blessings which have come to me since I began to study Christian Science, about twenty years ago. My first experience of its wonderful healing power was the instantaneous healing of my little son, who was suffering from membranous croup and a growth in the larynx. Medical surgery had failed, a very kind doctor having done all he thought possible, including tracheotomy.
Many other healings have followed. My little daughter was very quickly healed of measles and pneumonia. There was a wonderful healing of an internal misplacement by mental surgery; also, when the truth was applied, of a badly scalded foot. The blisters broke and I was able in the afternoon to walk three miles with no pain or discomfort, and in a week the foot was perfectly healed.
Recently I had another beautiful healing. I injured my eye through coming into contact in the dark with a branch of a tree. The severe pain in my eye left me nearly helpless; but, knowing a student of Christian Science in a near-by building, I asked for help. This was lovingly given, and two hours later all pain had gone. The next morning there was nothing to remind me of an accident: pain, inflammation, even discoloration, had gone.
