We read in Isaiah, "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness." This I have proved, and with a heart filled with love and gratitude I testify to the many blessings that have come to me and mine through the study and application of Christian Science.

The severe pain of a sprained ankle was healed by repeating "the scientific statement of being" (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy, p. 468), so that I was enabled to go about my duties as usual. A loving practitioner proved for me the unreality of diphtheria, there being no fever; and the small children in the house were protected. Constipation, colds, and many other minor ailments have been destroyed. Selfish traits of disposition have been replaced with humility and more loving tolerance and patient thoughtfulness for the comfort and happiness of others.

I am profoundly grateful for our Leader's definition of "God" (Science and Health, p. 587): "The great I AM; the all-knowing, all-seeing, all-acting, all-wise, all-loving, and eternal; Principle; Mind; Soul; Spirit; Life; Truth; Love; all substance; intelligence."
