About eight years ago I began to study the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, with an earnest longing to understand it. At this time I knew nothing of the healing work of Christian Science, but was much impressed with the letter, and would read and study every spare moment. When I began reading the textbook I was under a doctor's care and taking five kinds of medicine for what had been pronounced incurable heart disease. I had been warned to be very careful. For twelve years I had not been able to lie on my left side, and some nights I would have to sit up all night. Before I had finished reading Science and Health I laid aside all medicine, and have never taken any since. Within a few months every symptom of the trouble had left me. This healing came when I realized that God's ideas are free from bondage. Man's birthright is dominion; as Christ Jesus declared, "If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." This healing has been permanent.

I am very grateful for the physical healing, but more so for the better understanding I am gaining of God and of man's relationship to Him.—(Mrs.) Mae A. Sturtevant, North Adams, Massachusetts.
