Every day for many years the teachings of Christian Science have brought me some positive manifestation of help, peace, comfort, and God's loving care. In many severe trials throughout these years I have turned to "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy and have never failed to find my healing. When I had reached a place where there seemed to be no other direction in which to turn for surcease from trouble, pain, and sickness, the name "Christian Science" was mentioned to me and I sought the help of a practitioner.

At that time I was suffering from a nervous breakdown and many complications and other ailments. I was entirely without funds, a stranger in a strange city. My business affairs were in a confused tangle which seemed hopeless, and I could not properly attend to them.

I was depending upon liquor stimulation to keep going, and was facing the prospect of a critical operation for the removal of a bullet which an X-ray examination showed had lodged in my spine. I was not free from pain one waking moment. Added to this were spells of blindness and the fear of loss of eyesight. Within a very short time after treatments in Christian Science commenced, I discontinued the use of four kinds of glasses, being freed from the need of them for the first time in thirty years. I was next freed from the use of liquor and tobacco; and no operation was necessary, the pains having ceased. All business matters were soon cleared up satisfactorily, funds for my needs were forthcoming, and at last I found that I knew something about God as He really is and man's true relationship to Him, for which I am most grateful of all. I awakened to find myself healed mentally, morally, physically, and financially, and restored to useful activity, health, and happiness. I saw the appearing of the new heaven and new earth and was finding life really worth living for the first time.
