Many times I have thought that a large part of what I have learned of Christian Science was gained from the helpful testimonies heard at the Wednesday meetings, as well as those in The Christian Science Journal and Christian Science Sentinel. My gratitude for these testimonies prompts me to tell of some of the many blessings that have come to me through the application of Christian Science. First, sorrow was healed, bringing freedom when that burden was lifted. Companionship and a home with a Christian Science practitioner soon followed, and brought many blessings. In the past twelve years I have experienced healings of many types, but the one that seemed to bring the greatest spiritual growth was the healing of an organic disorder.

When this difficulty was manifested I felt some doubt as to whether or not Christian Science could heal organic disease, and this doubt was accompanied by much fear. Treatment in Christian Science was asked for and received. Pain was eliminated after the first treatment, but the evidence of the senses continued to be alarming. Treatment was continued daily for some time, but a more intensive study of our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, on my part was necessary until thought was awakened. There was a suggestion to have a medical examination and diagnosis. My previous healings and demonstrations of the power of Truth over error were a staff on which to lean. Counting my blessings convinced me I did not have to go back to material methods —the very methods I had been so happy about leaving on finding the truth that healed disease. I then saw that an opportunity had been given me to prove what I knew about God. This conviction of the unfailing power of God was the result of the Christ, Truth, coming to my consciousness. Fear of the whole thing left, and the physical healing was completed shortly after that. This healing has meant a great deal to me because of the spiritual uplifting it brought; and the experience planted my feet securely on the rock of Christ, Truth, healing me of doubt, fear, and desire for material assistance.

Every least demonstration made over the belief of life and intelligence in matter has brought me a greater sense of grati tude for the unselfish life and work of our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy, through whose labors this healing truth has been made humanly comprehensible. The writings of our Leader have taught me the meaning of the wonderful works and life of the Way-shower, Christ Jesus, which I did not previously understand, and consequently did not appreciate as I do now. Christian Science has proved to me that God is Love, as the Bible teaches, and I am trying to express this gratitude by living the high ideals of the church which Mrs. Eddy founded, a duty which becomes easier as I learn to leave all for Christ. —(Miss) Evelyn Dalzell, Chicago, Illinois.
