Christian Science has met my every need for fifteen years, sometimes through my own understanding but more often through the greater understanding of faithful practitioners.

I should like to mention, in particular, a healing of influenza. I had been ill for three weeks and a day. After an alarming sinking spell I determined to go downtown to a practitioner who had given our family many wonderful proofs of her ability to demonstrate Mrs. Eddy's teaching; and it was with the greatest difficulty I reached her office, owing to extreme weakness. I explained the conditions to her and told her that I expected an instantaneous healing. She said I was right in expecting an immediate healing, and that, indeed, I was healed. To my great joy I found myself perfectly well and experiencing the most remarkable inflow of strength and buoyancy. I attended an entertainment that evening and returned to my work in a day or so, with no after effects or anything to show that I had been ill for weeks.

I was also healed, upon calling a practitioner over longdistance telephone, of serious blood poisoning in my right hand and arm, caused by running a needle into my finger. The pain stopped almost immediately, the swelling left within an hour or so, and I was able to continue my work within fifteen minutes after talking to the practitioner over the telephone, although a few moments before it seemed impossible to hold a needle. Through these two experiences I know that Christian Science can heal instantaneously, as Mrs. Eddy has stated. I have had many other proofs of the practicality of this marvelous interpretation of the Scriptures as given to us by Mrs. Eddy in Science and Health and her other writings. I am more grateful every day for all the Christian Science literature; grateful for membership in The Mother Church, for all the help and understanding I have received from practitioners, and for the clearer understanding I am gaining each day of God's ever-presence. —(Miss) Winifred Jane McCorrisxon, Detroit, Michigan.
