It is with a great sense of gratitude that I send in this testimony, with the hope that it will help and encourage someone else.

When a very small child I was constantly in bondage to bowel trouble. This difficulty became worse as I grew older, until finally some sort of medicine was needed daily, none of which gave me more than temporary relief, and all of which had a tendency to weaken the bowels even more. Gradually all laxatives became ineffectual, and the natural functioning of the bowels was practically paralyzed at the time of my coming into Christian Science. The healing was slow, and sometimes the temptation to be discouraged was very strong. Error whispered that my particular case would never yield to Truth. But I pressed on, and with the help of loving practitioners this difficulty was finally completely and permanently overcome. The bowels have functioned perfectly for the past eight years. I am deeply grateful for this healing.

A great sense of having constantly to depend upon others has been overcome. At one time I was unable to go out alone or remain alone without great fear almost overpowering me. Through pressing constantly on in the truth, however, and with the help of practitioners, this false sense of dependency has been replaced with an enlarged ability to rely on our loving Father-Mother God. I now remain alone for hours with happiness and contentment.
