Los Gatos, California (First Church).—Ground was broken yesterday for the new edifice of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Los Gatos. The beautiful new church to be erected opposite the Los Gatos high school, has a property frontage of one hundred and five feet on East Main Street. The building site, which goes through to Villa Avenue, has a clear-cut panorama of the hills as a picturesque background. The church will be of colonial design with white frame exterior, pillared entrance and green-shuttered windows. The main auditorium will seat about three hundred, a balcony furnishing additional seats for sixty persons. Ample parking space on the church grounds will be provided with easy access. Other carefully considered features equip the building to meet all requirements.—Mail-News.
