Christian Science has wrought so complete a change in my life and outlook, bringing happiness and joyful expectancy in the place of darkness and despair, that for this alone, apart from numerous other blessings, I am inexpressibly grateful. When this wonderful discovery of Mary Baker Eddy was brought to my notice about seventeen years ago, I was much concerned with personal and family problems, also weary with the unavailing search to find either reason or remedy for the untold suffering and evil in the world; and because I could see no way of helping either myself or my fellow-man, for many years my chief desire had come to depart to the other side of the grave, for I had come to the conclusion that this was the only way to find God, and the answer to all that troubled me so much.

When I was almost overwhelmed with grief over the loss of a young relative, the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, was placed in my hands, and as I read the opening chapters there came a sense of peace and happiness never before dreamed of, for I recognized that this book contained the truth I had been seeking so long; and as I learned of the omnipotence and omnipresence of God, divine Love, the weight of sorrow was quickly lifted.

I was not at this time especially in need of physical healing; but as I continued to study the textbook and apply its truths, many oft-recurring ailments left me, including severe headaches, biliousness, train sickness, chilblains, and skin trouble; also a bronchial condition which was apt to return with increasing severity each winter. Seasickness, from which I had suffered acutely, was instantaneously prevented by declaring aloud the allness of God.
