I certainly have reason to be very grateful for Christian Science

I certainly have reason to be very grateful for Christian Science. I started teaching kindergarten in September, 1922, but had to resign in April, as my back had been paining me for months. After consulting four doctors and having five X-ray photographs taken I was told I had tuberculosis of the spine. I was put into a plaster cast and started wearing a heavy brace. In this condition my steps were led to a schoolteacher who was a Christian Scientist. I had heard of Christian Science, but in my ignorance did not believe in it. She explained it to me and gave me "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I seemed to drink in the words. This was on a Wednesday. On the Saturday following I saw a practitioner and asked for treatment. On Sunday morning this beautiful thought came, I will walk in God's strength. Never before had I ever thought of doing anything in His strength. I was healed instantaneously. I have been teaching school since then, and can do everything I have to do without getting tired. It all seemed so wonderful to me. Now I know that as God's perfect child I am free. —(Miss) Mildred M. Chevrie, Almont, Michigan.
