I want to tell of a few of the things for which I am grateful to Christian Science, and to Mrs. Eddy who has made the Bible understandable.

About three months before our first baby was born I was examined and treated for poisoning, and a second examination showed the condition to be worse. Receiving no help, we turned from medical aid to Christian Science. The demonstration of painless childbirth was beautiful. A second child was born with very little pain. As the result of a belief (which had never been entirely healed) of possible injury to the child because of a fall I had before her birth, when she learned to walk it was with a slight limp. One day, after she had been walking about two months, I noticed that one hip was higher than the other. A few days afterwards I heard her crying outside, and found she could not walk. One of her legs seemed to give way beneath her. This was at ten o'clock in the morning. A practitioner was called, and by five o'clock the same day she could walk again. It was some time before the limp entirely disappeared, but as I put the false sense of deformity out of my thinking and held to the perfect concept of man, it was overcome.

I am grateful to everyone who has helped me to get a better understanding of the Bible and of Christian Science. I am grateful for the fact that we are really studying the Bible now, something we did not do before taking up the study of Christian Science.—
