I am grateful for a knowledge of Christian Science, and for the Sunday school, where the children learn of this healing, protecting truth and how to apply it. They have had many healings, some of which were of severe colds, burns, and scarlet fever. For one special healing we are most grateful. Before we came into Science, my husband had pleural pneumonia, being in the hospital two weeks. For nine days he could get no sleep, even with hypodermics. Then he was at home in bed six more weeks. A short time after we came into Science he was ill again in the same way. We called a practitioner, with the result that the high fever and severe pain were overcome in two days and the terrible cough in two more, and he had good rest all the time. In less than a week he was up and walked to his office; and in two weeks he was completely healed. One day he was soaked by the rain without ill effects, and we were very grateful for the protection.
To the protecting power of Christian Science in a severe accident we are indebted for the saving of the lives of our two children and myself. I knew it was our knowledge of God that saved our lives. To others it was miraculous; but to us, as we are taught in Science, it was divinely natural. Words can never express my gratitude; I can only live it day by day.
