The Lectures

Introductions to Lectures

Spokane, Washington (First Church).

Lecturer: Mrs. Nelvia E. Ritchie; introduced by James B. Patterson, who said:—

In the Scriptures we read that Jesus said, "Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom." Jesus had proved this statement. Gaining the kingdom, or dominion over all discordant conditions, and over all so-called material laws, he healed all manner of sickness and sin, walked on the water, and raised the dead. What a joyous message to mankind: "Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom," or dominion over anxiety, fear, doubt, discouragement, poverty, sickness—over all so-called ills and conditions which the "flesh is heir to." The most wonderful thing about this message is that it is true, and is being proved daily by many thousands through the application of Christian Science. This kingdom or dominion may be gained by searching the Scriptures and through the study of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.
