I thank God that through a lecture on Christian Science...
I thank God that through a lecture on Christian Science my eyes were opened to the existence of a spiritual realm and life, when I had hitherto believed only in the unhappy material life of which I had grown tired. I was able to prove the truth of this later by the reading of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy; and as my mentality was purified by the study, I gained a very harmonious sense of life and peace. Internal hemorrhage, caused by a gastric ulcer, was quickly healed through the help of a loving practitioner, and I was able to attend church the next day. Two years before, when I knew nothing of Christian Science, the same complaint had placed me in a well-known New York hospital for four months.
A further proof of this great healing agency was experienced at a time when I was apparently just about to pass on, and was saved by the pure understanding of a young student of this Science. It is my earnest desire to show my gratitude by striving to obey the Master's dictum, "If ye love me, keep my commandments."
Ernest Faulkner Tilbury, Littleton, Colorado.
