Among the Churches

Current Notes

McAllen Monitor

McAllen, Texas (Society).—The Christian Science Society has now held its first services in the new church building at 2240 North Fourteenth Street. The new church is a building thirty feet by forty-eight feet, finished on the exterior in white stucco, and presenting a most attractive appearance on both the outside and the inside. With ample arrangements made for light and ventilation, and being designed so that it may easily be converted into a handsome residence when the Christian Science Society decides to build another house of worship, it is located on beautiful Palm Boulevard in an easily accessible part of the city. Twenty pews, each seating eight persons, with space for others to be added later, will allow the congregation to be seated in the new church. The southeast corner of the church is set apart for the library and Reading Room; and an alcove has been built in, to make storage space for church literature.—McAllen Monitor.
