About five years ago I first began the study of Christian Science
About five years ago I first began the study of Christian Science. I did not take up this study for physical healing, but because I was hungry to learn about God. During the first year I was healed of what the physicians called sinus trouble. I had been in the habit of treating with doctors every winter for from three to six weeks for this difficulty, but after coming into Science I was completely healed within one week. I have also been healed of stomach trouble and the liquor and tobacco habits. Last year, within three days, I was completely healed of an attack of influenza.
On page 307 of "Miscellaneous Writings" Mrs. Eddy writes, "God gives you His spiritual ideas, and in turn, they give you daily supplies." I have been able to prove this to be absolutely true in my own business. Through the study of Christian Science I realize that right now, by reflection, I have everything I can possibly ask for, and that there is nothing in this world that I want or need, as Christian Science shows us how truly to be happy and joyful.
For all these blessings I am more grateful than words can express, to God, to Christ Jesus the Way-shower, and to our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy. I am also most grateful for the periodicals and all the other activities of the Christian Science church, and for the beautiful privilege of class instruction. I am also deeply grateful to those dear friends who first called Christian Science to my attention and for the faithful and loving work of the practitioners. I am very grateful for membership in The Mother Church and also in a branch church.
