It is now over ten years since I turned to Christian Science for help and to find peace. At that time it seemed impossible to endure any more trials. Sickness had been the prevailling condition of our family, and my husband had succumbed to ill health and sustained heavy financial losses besides. This brought me to a state of extreme nervousness, accompanied by hysteria and insomnia. One of my daughters, who had received help in Christian Science, advised me to try it. Not knowing anything about it, I laughed at the thought of its power to make me sleep, but finally asked help of a loving practitioner, whose work for me did bring the necessary sleep and a more peaceful frame of mind. I was most grateful for this help, and began the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, which study I have faithfully kept up ever since. My greatest cause for gratitude in this study is the clearing up of my false concept of God, who, I believed, was sending such afflictions on my loved ones. It was happiness to learn that God is Love, and sends only good to all His children

I have had many proofs of the power of Christian Science to heal, and can never fully express my gratitude for the good that has come to me through it, and for the loving and generous sympathy shown me by the Christian Science practitioners. Lately I felt that in some way error was hindering my progress, and the reason was uncovered when I read an article in the Sentinel of January 10, 1925. The words which brought light to me were these: "We shall not solve our remaining problems until we are willing to express gratitude for the good we have already received." This is then my belated acknowledgment. I have had many healings, and a recent case of grippe and neuralgia was wonderfully overcome. I have also been healed of constipation and congestion. I thank God for His messenger, Mrs. Eddy, whose book, Science and Health, has opened the Bible for all who are willing to use it.
