It is my earnest desire to testify to the wonderful and beautiful power of Truth as manifested in our family. We have used no material remedies since the year 1915, and have had healings of scarlet fever, measles, whooping cough, influenza, tonsillitis, indigestion, rheumatism, and many other ills. With a family of four children this means a great deal in maintaining physical harmony. But what can be said of the spiritual gain? We count that more than all else, and try each day to gain a little in overcoming faults of disposition, such as temper, impatience, and seeming selfishness. I am increasingly grateful to all those friends and practitioners who have worked so lovingly for us when error seemed to have such a strong hold. I am daily grateful for all the Christian Science literature, including the Lesson-Sermons, which are such a help to us on our journey from sense to Soul. I am grateful to God, who gave us His dear Son, Jesus the Christ, for an example, and for our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who so clearly pointed out the way to us.
