The first building which the Pilgrim Fathers constructed was a Christian church, then the school, then the court. There is no other way of continuing a Christian civilization here in America. Not material wealth, but moral wealth, makes a nation. . . . There was never a time in the history of our country when the Christian church was a greater necessity than at present, because human society was never in more need of the moral quality which it contributes to man's life.
