For years I suffered from an incurable disease which the doctors called tuberculosis of the bones. The disease began in both arms, so that I could neither work nor do anything else. Soon afterwards it spread to my legs and feet, so that I could neither walk nor stand. I was obliged to undergo many operations, but all were in vain. At last the doctor told me when I might expect the end. Then in my great extremity a friend who knew of Christian Science came to see me, and I told him of my misfortune. This friend asked me if I could believe that our Saviour, Christ Jesus, could heal to-day just as he had done nineteen hundred years ago if he were here. I answered in the affirmative. Then this friend sent a Christian Science practitioner to me, who lovingly gave me treatment. After a few treatments I was able to walk up and down the room. As I diligently read the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and Der Herold, and continued treatment in Christian Science, the fear yielded,—the fear that I should never be well again, which had taken such deep root in my consciousness,—and at last Truth was the victor, and I was able to take up my work again. Owing to my long illness, my family and I suffered greatly from lack, but this too was wonderfully met when I clearly realized that God's children need suffer no lack; and harmony reigned again in our home and family. To-day I am perfectly well, and can attend to my work as never before.

For this wonderful healing, which came to me about ten years ago through God's grace, I am sincerely grateful.
