It is with a deep sense of gratitude to God, the Giver of all good, to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower, and to Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, that I should like to tell of the many blessings that have come to me through the daily unfoldment of this wonderful truth. Although a member of an orthodox church from early years, I never understood the Bible until it was illumined in the light of Christian Science, and I began to get some glimpse of God as ever present divine Love, and of man as the perfect idea of Love.

One of the first healings in our family was of pneumonia. The child was delirious and breathed with great difficulty, but through the faithful work of a loving practitioner every manifestation of the disease was destroyed overnight, and in the morning he was completely healed. Another son was healed of appendicitis and influenza through the application of this truth which makes free. I have been healed of malaria, grippe, constipation, and severe headaches. After a heavy fall which dislocated the elbow joint, it slowly went back into position as I worked to know the truth of being. At the passing on of my husband, Christian Science was like a rock beneath my feet, and lifted my thought above a sense of sorrow and separation to the oneness of Mind. For all these healings, and for an almost continuous sense of health for over ten years, I am grateful; but I am more grateful for the daily regeneration in some degree of my thinking.

I am grateful for every activity of The Mother Church, and for all the channels provided by our Leader through which this healing truth is going out to bless all mankind. I am grateful for the privilege of class instruction, and for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church. I am grateful that I have been able to share this truth with others, and my one desire is to have more of the Christ-spirit, more of the Christ-love—(Mrs.) Harriette B. Matthews, Brooklyn, New York.
