Christian Science has been my only physician for many years, and words cannot express my gratitude for the many blessings I have received through the study of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and the other writings by the same author, which have given me a practical understanding of the Bible, and filled my heart with love.

As a young girl I was never considered strong, was subjected to many kinds of treatment and consumed many bottles of patent medicine, in an effort to gain enough health to be able to continue school. I finally had a very severe attack of inflammatory rheumatism for which I tried every material remedy that was suggested to me, but without avail. I suffered intensely for several weeks, until in desperation I went to a Christian Science practitioner, whose loving help brought me out of pain and despair, and I received a perfect healing. The healing was slow, but there was much in my own thought and disposition to overcome, and I am grateful for the lessons I learned.

Since that time many problems have been solved. If at times the struggle has seemed severe, I have always received the blessing when I have depended entirely on divine Love and not on human planning. Mrs. Eddy tells us in "The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany" (p. 130), "Truth never falters nor fails; it is our faith that fails." So if we are obedient to the teachings of our dear Leader and love God understandingly, Truth will never fail us.
