I have been interested in Christian Science for eight years and have had some wonderful healings and demonstrations. I had been healed twice by a practitioner before really taking up Christian Science; I was very grateful, but thought it too deep a study for me.

When, after we came to California, my two children had whooping cough, I knew that I must begin the study of Christian Science. I bought a copy of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. The chapter on Prayer was such a wonderful help to me, and it was so inspiring to think of God as Life, Truth, and Love, and that He did not send sin, sickness, death! I spent hours reading, and had a dear friend help me. My children did not keep me up nights, and coughed only a little through the day. My mother-in-law came to see me, and was surprised to see how lightly they were affected. I am so grateful to God for all this!

I got up one morning all broken out with chicken pox and was healed by the next day, just through reading Science and Health and praying to God for a better understanding. With this understanding and faith in God the rest of the family were protected and did not take the disease. I had tried to live near to God, and feel sure He guided me to the many healings I have received through Christian Science.
