About three years ago I had some sort of stomach trouble
About three years ago I had some sort of stomach trouble. I could not eat, for the stomach seemed full all of the time. Then I got short of breath, and could not lie on my left side. I asked help from a practitioner and got relief at once, but still the stomach was not comfortable. I was larger at the waist than usual, but did not pay much attention to it, as I am a stout woman. After a few days' treatment the size of the waist diminished; then I discovered a growth on the right side. I spoke to the practitioner about it and kept on with my work; for I was employed in a mill, and although the work was hard I did not suffer enough to give it up. I kept improving, and finally the growth disappeared. Before the growth had entirely gone I had a peculiar feeling, as if there were something under the left ribs. After the growth had disappeared, gradually I began to feel straight. It is very evident that the stomach was pushed to one side by the growth, for with the disappearance of the growth I could breathe naturally.
I now have no trouble with the stomach. The most beautiful part of the treatment was that I felt no fear, although I had seen my mother suffer and pass on with cancer of the stomach. Who would not be grateful for the understanding which Christian Science gives? I often think, Where would I be now but for Christian Science? May this testimony help some sufferer, is my earnest wish.—(Mrs.) Florence J. Merrill Faneuf, Lebanon, New Hampshire.
